23 weeks...

This pregnancy is going so fast for me! Much faster than with mine own, maybe I’m just secretly not wanting it to end. šŸ˜‰ It will be 1 year on Sunday since I applied to become a surrogate and I’m so intrigued by this entire process and journey! What a ride!

Today, we had our monthly check-up and everything is great! Baby’s heartbeat was 144 and he’s measuring on track. It’s so crazy that 17 weeks ago this little guy was a tiny little dot and now he fills the sonogram picture that I can’t really make out what it is. I go back in 3 weeks for the glucose test!!

We got some special earbuds and the mum has been making sweet lullabies and stories so her little man can start hearing her own voice and also start learning their language! It’s awesome we can do this, I try and play him songs as much as I can! The parents and I both love Elton John and Billy Joel so he’s been listening to that as well and Emma made him a few songs that I use to sing to her!

Food cravings over the last few weeks have been hot dogs (finally can eat some meat), Still loving salads, sour gummies, and fruit!!

Baby boy moves around so much. Blaise finally felt a little kick one night and he moves a lot throughout the day and right before bedtime. I have even seen my stomach jump a few times when I lay still and watch. Feeling great though other than my belly being super itchy!!!

The comments, “I didn’t know you were pregnant and wow, how far along are you” have begun from friends that I’m not friends with FB on. I’ve been a little tempted to say, “what are you talking about?” Lol
A few of Blaise’s guy friends who clearly haven’t really paid much attention to FB have congratulated him on us having another baby and he has responded, (not really thinking much of it) with, “thanks, but it’s not mine or I’m not the dad” The reaction and response he gets then are pretty funny!!! “Oh, man I’m sorry, I can’t believe Jenna did that” šŸ¤¦‍♀️ Then he explains!  LOL

BOY or GIRL?????

Well, last night I had my 1st dream about the baby. I dreamed that we got our test results and found out baby Swiss was a boy. Today,  I stalked my email hoping the results would come. Baby's mom was excited but thought it might be too early and I was being super optimistic. I decided to call Quest while I was sitting in the car loop and they said, "yeah, we have the results and they were sent to your dr. yesterday." I told him I was signed up to get an email but had not gotten one yet so he said he would send them right over. 10 mins later my email dinged and then I was scared to look. I pulled them up and everything is PERFECT, normal, and negative. WE HAVE A HEALTHY BABY, which is of course most important. I quickly let the parents know all was good and we would call them in a few to reveal the gender. They were so happy and excited! I called my Dr. to confirm the sex and that all the results looked good and she said "YES!"  When we got home the kids co

36 days or LESS...

The official countdown and Swiss baby watch are on...We are just 36 days or less from meeting a special little king! Thursday, I went for a weekly checkup and our first stress test. I have never had to do the stress test monitoring before so did not really know what to expect or what they were looking for. The reason my Dr. has us doing it is that baby boy is measuring above average and because IVF is a little riskier and my dr. just wants to be sure we are up to date and extra observant. Ultrasound looked great although he is still head and face down and very low so we probably will not be able to get any more good photos of him. So, we headed to another room for the non-stress test. I was hooked up and they told me I would sit for 20 mins while they recorded the baby's movements and how his heartbeat responded to that. Another Week Down...

Week 35!!!! This past week I have had a lot stronger contractions, mostly at night time that will wake me up. My sleeping is off and on...some nights it’s great and I’ve even slept in until 9-10am and some nights it’s terrible and I’m wide awake until after midnight or for 2-3 hours in the night. So, looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again. My appetite comes and goes...loving veggies, watermelon, sour gummies, and drinking tons of water!!! Not really wanting any meat again! The pressure down below is intensifying and bathroom visits are at an all-time high, sometimes I’ll go, stand up, and have to go again! My boobs are huge, my belly is huge, it’s so hot outside and I kept stressing that my water might break when I’m out in public somewhere!!! I’ve been trying to stay busy with some house projects and making sure everything is ready for baby’s parents to be back here with us in just under 2 weeks now but I’m also making sure I rest and put my feet up when I can!
