Shots are DONE...

Image
We just did my last Progesterone shot and my butt is so GRATEFUL! I was most nervous about doing these shots. Blood and needles don’t really bother me but this needle is no joke and very intimidating!! (1 1/2 inches😆) We did it though! A total of 74 shots!!! That is a lot of shots but I just keep thinking about all the women who do so much more than that and still have an unsuccessful journey.  The last 3 weeks were the worse...I had to talk myself into them, reward myself with Oreo's afterward, and had to clinch a blanket super tight for some. We had several bleeders and there was not much space left where I was supposed to inject. Big shout out to Blaise for helping me and doing almost all of them. I am glad he has a part in this too! I currently have some pretty large lumps on both sides and it hurts to touch and lay on, however it is so worth it and needed in order to grow this little LIME! That is the size of the baby at 12 weeks and we have officially hit the 2nd trimeste

1st OB appointment...

1st OB appointment was today!!! It’s exciting to be back with my awesome Dr! He’s one of the best around for c-sections and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Tomorrow marks 11 weeks! Since my last post, I’ve been trying to stay relaxed and clam since they said I had the small blood clot. I called my dr. to see if he wanted me to come in sooner and he said there was no need too because the clot was small and will/should end up just going away. That made all of us feel a lot better. It was hard waiting almost 3 weeks for another ultrasound after having them weekly for 3 weeks. Today’s appointment was GREAT and I know a huge relief for baby's parents. It started with lot's of paperwork followed by lots of questions. My Dr. has had surrogates before but it is not a common thing for him. He confirmed baby's due date is 8/13/19 and said we would schedule c-section 1 week before than, which will be 8/6/19 unless he/she decides to greet us sooner. He also said he was going to be mo

Officially Graduated....

This morning I had my final ultrasound at our monitoring clinic and have officially been released and “graduated” from the care of San Diego Fertility Center. I will now be able to start seeing my regular OB that delivered Bryce and Emma and he will deliver “Baby Swiss". My first appointment with him is already set for 1/21 and I will be 11 weeks at that time! Today’s appointment was great! The baby actually looks like a baby now! He or she has already flipped over the other way from last week and we would clearly see the baby’s arms and legs! The heartbeat is 161 and it is measuring right on target!! 1.98cm. I do have a small subchorionic hematoma (blood clot). The nurse said this is VERY common in IVF and on our support page I have seen many women post about it. It typically goes away on its own and does not cause issues. I am not going to worry or stress about it. The nurse said there isn't much we can do but not to do any heavy lifting or crazy exercise and to rest wh
