New Dates...

I have read and researched so much on IVF and going through this process really makes you see what some families have to go through...it can be exhausting, emotional, and disappointing. I am feeling positive that things will work this time around. We have a surrogate FB support group and it has been great to get on there and read about other journeys. Everyone is so different and I have to keep reminding myself of that. As soon as I let go of the situation I get a call or email. :) 

 Thursday 10/18 Blaise and the kids took me to dinner for an early birthday and I got a call from Dr. D. He said that we need to be more flexible for transfer dates next time and if I am ready earlier at lining checks then we go ahead and do transfer the next week. He seemed confident that this next round will work. I finished out my Provera and then waited for a period to come. I'm always on schedule and it came on 10/22. My nurse from San Diego emailed us with new tentative dates and this is where we are at now...So ready to get started again!!! 

 Tentative Transfer Dates:
10/24           Start active birth control pill
11/04           Last Active Birth Control Pill
11/08           Baseline Ultrasound and blood-work appointment
11/09           Start Estradiol medication pending baseline
11/19           *Tentative Passing Ultrasound and blood-work appointment
11/26           *Tentative Transfer at SDFC OR Tentative Passing Ultrasound/ blood-work appointment
12/03            Tentative Transfer Date at SDFC

BOY or GIRL?????

Well, last night I had my 1st dream about the baby. I dreamed that we got our test results and found out baby Swiss was a boy. Today,  I stalked my email hoping the results would come. Baby's mom was excited but thought it might be too early and I was being super optimistic. I decided to call Quest while I was sitting in the car loop and they said, "yeah, we have the results and they were sent to your dr. yesterday." I told him I was signed up to get an email but had not gotten one yet so he said he would send them right over. 10 mins later my email dinged and then I was scared to look. I pulled them up and everything is PERFECT, normal, and negative. WE HAVE A HEALTHY BABY, which is of course most important. I quickly let the parents know all was good and we would call them in a few to reveal the gender. They were so happy and excited! I called my Dr. to confirm the sex and that all the results looked good and she said "YES!"  When we got home the kids co

Another Week Down...

Week 35!!!! This past week I have had a lot stronger contractions, mostly at night time that will wake me up. My sleeping is off and on...some nights it’s great and I’ve even slept in until 9-10am and some nights it’s terrible and I’m wide awake until after midnight or for 2-3 hours in the night. So, looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again. My appetite comes and goes...loving veggies, watermelon, sour gummies, and drinking tons of water!!! Not really wanting any meat again! The pressure down below is intensifying and bathroom visits are at an all-time high, sometimes I’ll go, stand up, and have to go again! My boobs are huge, my belly is huge, it’s so hot outside and I kept stressing that my water might break when I’m out in public somewhere!!! I’ve been trying to stay busy with some house projects and making sure everything is ready for baby’s parents to be back here with us in just under 2 weeks now but I’m also making sure I rest and put my feet up when I can! 36 days or LESS...

The official countdown and Swiss baby watch are on...We are just 36 days or less from meeting a special little king! Thursday, I went for a weekly checkup and our first stress test. I have never had to do the stress test monitoring before so did not really know what to expect or what they were looking for. The reason my Dr. has us doing it is that baby boy is measuring above average and because IVF is a little riskier and my dr. just wants to be sure we are up to date and extra observant. Ultrasound looked great although he is still head and face down and very low so we probably will not be able to get any more good photos of him. So, we headed to another room for the non-stress test. I was hooked up and they told me I would sit for 20 mins while they recorded the baby's movements and how his heartbeat responded to that.
