Home Stretch....

Week 32, another check-up, starting to get uncomfortable and HOME STRETCH!! Sleeping is defiantly not as easy as it uses to be. Pregnancy insomnia is in full swing now! For the last 2 weeks, I can't turn it off at night and lay in bed for a while before I can fall asleep, roll from side to side all night feeling little man move, have been woken up with some super strong tightening in my stomach and wake up when the sun comes up. Braxton Hicks have been more frequent but nothing steady. I have also been a little more light-headed and the constant urge to pee doesn't go away. The newest craving is WATERMELON! I have never been a huge fan of it but man it is so good and refreshing!!! Also, WATER, I have been a lot thirstier now too. It has also become a lot harder to do simple tasks now...getting up from sitting down on the floor, jumping up off the couch to do something, getting in and out of the truck, and shaving my legs. My belly just gets in the way now and everyone keeps telling me, "I look so low, baby dropped and wow, you really look pregnant now!" I'm feeling it too!!

It has been 3 weeks since my last check-up so I was very anxious to go in today and see how things were progressing. The appointment was great! The nurse said, "I officially have the pregnancy waddle now...before I walked in like nothing, and today I was a little slower moving." Dr. did an ultrasound and said, "Well, I won't be able to get any good photos today because the baby is still head down and now face down too so we can't see his face." Dr. said, "It looks like he is tunneling his way out of there." I was like, "REALLY??? How big is he measuring now?" He took several measurements and everything was coming up between 4.5 and 4.8 pounds and one measurement said I was at 36 weeks. He is no longer sitting like a taco and folded in half and now all stretched out so I think the measurements are more accurate. Dr. Said, "He is not a little baby but also not huge, however, he is above average and my due date was projecting 8/3 which is 10 days ahead of our original date. We decided that based on this, I will go ahead and start weekly appointments so we can keep an eye on the baby's heartbeat and weight gain. His heartbeat was 149 today and he looks so long and big. His daddy is Blaise's height, almost 6'5 so maybe he will be tall too!! 
THINGS GOT SUPER EXCITING TODAY!!!! 

As soon as my appointment was over I called the baby's MUM to give her the update as she was a little worried last time because the baby was measuring smaller at 2 pounds. Hearing her happiness, love and joy gave me chills!! We are all so ready and can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming weeks....It really won't be too much longer now!

Yesterday, I had my 2nd BETA blood test to check my levels and make sure things were increasing. They like it to rise by 66% every 2 days. Another super quick appointment and then a long day of waiting.  I felt pretty nauseous at lunch and had to go for a walk in the cold air. I felt a lot better afterward. After school, I went and got my hair cut and styled to keep my mind occupied. Then, I went and got the kids from school and waited to hear from San Diego. Around 4:30, we got a message from our IPs saying the email came and good news! As that message came through, I was reading the email from San Diego and saw the number 3,136 in bold!!!   "I have more wonderful news!   Jenna’s  pregnancy hormone level is rising nicely, and the value is now  3136 !  This is an excellent value, and we are thrilled for everyone!" So reading that BIG number was super exciting and my first thought was WOW, we are for sure pregnant and maybe it's TWINS!...

37 weeks & our Swiss family is back...

So excited for this week!!!! Today is 1 year since we officially meet and match with our new Swiss family!! We had our very first Skype call and all knew we would be perfect for this new journey and adventure together! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! Tomorrow our Swiss family travels back here to Florida for their big day welcoming their 2nd little boy into the world!! They will be here for 2 months and we can’t wait to spend more time with them while they adjust as a family of 4 and prepare everything needed to go back to Switzerland. I’m so glad their little boy has waited for them to come before arriving and we look forward to making so many memories together in the upcoming weeks! Today, was also another non-stress test, which looked great! Our next appointment will be on Friday and hoping we can get an official c-section scheduled as the baby’s parents will be here to attend with me. Official plan and orders...

Tuesday we finally got our official plan and orders! We are tentatively scheduled to transfer on October, 16th! The dates are all good with everyone, but we will have to hope we do not have any storms or hurricanes come this way or Blaise will have to stay home and work. My mom said she would go with me if Blaise was not able to. We Skyped without IPs this past Sunday and talked about dates for them to come to visit us. We are being very optimistic hoping we will have a successful first try transfer but they would like to come to Florida in February! Yesterday, I received all my meds! EKKK!! The needles are big and a bit overwhelming. Thankfully, I don't start those until a few days before the transfer but I will have to take them every day until we are 10 weeks. I started prenatal vitamins about 3 weeks ago as I felt like it wouldn't hurt. Today, I will take my last birth control pill and start folic acid and aspirin.
