1st shot...

Well, it’s Wednesday 11/21 day of my first progesterone shot. So, I figured I’d share how it went! I watched the video and instructions about 10 times today and looked up some tips to make it go smooth. On our surrogacy FB page, a lot of women shared that warming up the oil in the vial helps a lot because the oil is very thick heating it makes it go in a little easier. Some women also shared taking the weight off the foot/side you are administrating the shot on help, rubbing the area afterward helps the meds get into the muscle and not causing lumps, and also applying a heating pad afterward helps a lot too. I’ll be doing these shots every night until 12 weeks of pregnancy. Tonight’s shot needed to be right at 9pm and then from here on out I will have a 2-hour window between 7-9pm each night. I started preparing the area and things around 8! Lol, We even made a video for my IPs to watch! Sarah did awesome, I didn’t feel a thing however, I’m sure it will be short-lived as my backside will be pretty sore after doing this for 12 weeks! It will all be worth it though! ☺️

BOY or GIRL?????

Well, last night I had my 1st dream about the baby. I dreamed that we got our test results and found out baby Swiss was a boy. Today,  I stalked my email hoping the results would come. Baby's mom was excited but thought it might be too early and I was being super optimistic. I decided to call Quest while I was sitting in the car loop and they said, "yeah, we have the results and they were sent to your dr. yesterday." I told him I was signed up to get an email but had not gotten one yet so he said he would send them right over. 10 mins later my email dinged and then I was scared to look. I pulled them up and everything is PERFECT, normal, and negative. WE HAVE A HEALTHY BABY, which is of course most important. I quickly let the parents know all was good and we would call them in a few to reveal the gender. They were so happy and excited! Another Week Down...

Week 35!!!! This past week I have had a lot stronger contractions, mostly at night time that will wake me up. My sleeping is off and on...some nights it’s great and I’ve even slept in until 9-10am and some nights it’s terrible and I’m wide awake until after midnight or for 2-3 hours in the night. So, looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again. My appetite comes and goes...loving veggies, watermelon, sour gummies, and drinking tons of water!!! Not really wanting any meat again! The pressure down below is intensifying and bathroom visits are at an all-time high, sometimes I’ll go, stand up, and have to go again! My boobs are huge, my belly is huge, it’s so hot outside and I kept stressing that my water might break when I’m out in public somewhere!!! I’ve been trying to stay busy with some house projects and making sure everything is ready for baby’s parents to be back here with us in just under 2 weeks now but I’m also making sure I rest and put my feet up when I can! 36 days or LESS...

The official countdown and Swiss baby watch are on...We are just 36 days or less from meeting a special little king! Thursday, I went for a weekly checkup and our first stress test. I have never had to do the stress test monitoring before so did not really know what to expect or what they were looking for. The reason my Dr. has us doing it is that baby boy is measuring above average and because IVF is a little riskier and my dr. just wants to be sure we are up to date and extra observant. Ultrasound looked great although he is still head and face down and very low so we probably will not be able to get any more good photos of him. So, we headed to another room for the non-stress test. I was hooked up and they told me I would sit for 20 mins while they recorded the baby's movements and how his heartbeat responded to that.
