Medical Screening....
Today 6 years ago we announced we were having our own baby #2 (Emma)! This is funny because we shared today on social media our surrogate journey. We had a huge outpour of support and so many friends sent private messages with words of support, encouragement, and prayers.
While this will not be my own personal pregnancy or our own child, it will forever be a part of me and hold a special place in my heart. We felt it was time to put it out there so there are no misconceptions. Bryce & Emma know and are super excited and we couldn’t be happier! It has truly brought the 4 of us even closer together and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
On Sunday, August 20th, Blaise, and I will fly out for a quick trip to San Diego, California for our medical screenings and hoping for a transfer in the upcoming weeks. We were so happy that they were able to get us in so soon and we are getting things rolling. In our conversations with our IPs, we are both ready and would like to possibly deliver next summer! Because I have been on birth control pills and never had an IUD that helped speed the process. We also received our first draft of our legal contract. Both Blaise and I and the IP's have attorneys working with us. There is nothing that we don't really agree with within the contract, just a few questions and a few minor things we wanted to change/add. One of those things is....I will have a planned c-section since Bryce and Emma were delivered that way and because the norm is for only one person, usually the husband to be in the room for the surgery, Blaise is the listed person in the contract. We thought and talked a lot about this and also called the hospital to see their protocol on this matter. They said that it is typically one person allowed in but because of our situation, they would more than likely let the 4 of us in. We decided that just in case they don't, we wanted to change the contract and list the Intended Mom to be the one it the room with me for the delivery of her child so she would not miss this amazing experience. She was so thrilled to know we were willing to do that.

We are so ready to see a little bit of San Deigo and have tried to find a few things for us to do in the short, less than 24 hours that we are there.
